Embyro Transfer Contract

Contract undertaken for the breeding season 2026/27 between client:

And the following mare:

West Coast Veterinary Hospital offer two contract options;

1. Recipient synchronisation and embryo flush procedure fee: $1285

2. Embryo wash/transfer procedure (payable if embryo retrieved) $500

3. Pregnancy success fee: $3000 this covers management of recipient mare at West Coast Vets through to 45 day scan and lease of mare until weaning. This is payable at 45 positive scan

The all inclusive contact is $2950 with an additional fee of $1000 that is a recipient mare guarantee fee. On signing the contract $3950 will be payable prior to reproductive work taken out.

On positive 45 day scan the recipient success mare fee applies at $2500 for lease of the mare until weaning. The owner is responsible for and agrees to pay for any and all vet expenses of the recipient mare after 45 days. The owner shall return recipient mare in good health within 6 months of the foaling date.

West Coast Vets suggests insurance to be taken out over recipient mare and embryo against all losses and risks of any kind, nature and description. Owner holds West Coast Vets harmless with respect to said loss and risks. Mare owners understand that there are many factors involved in breeding mares, recovery of embryo/embryos, implantation and although West Coast Vets honours its best efforts to honour services mentioned but no guarantee for the success of the procedure. If by March 2027 no successful embryo is flushed and transferred the contract is deemed terminated. Remaining fees are to be paid minus the recipient mare fee. West Coast Vets hold the right to refuse services if accounts are overdue. All fees are to be paid prior to release of recipient mare. Three days notice must be given before mares are to be released so paperwork can be completed. Transportation expenses are owners responsibility.

AGISTMENT West Coast Vets offer limited agistment at 10 Freeman Rd Forrestdale with safe large sand mare and foal yards with summer misters and horse rail safe paddocks for foaling down. Mare owners can choose whether to have their mares in a yard or paddock. We feed Hygain Ice and Hygain Tru Breed, with choice of meadow/lucerne or oaten hay. Mare diet forms will be completed when mares are dropped off.
